Moulds.-Mould wheel driving mechanism of the general construction disclosed in Specification 700,942 includes two cams 45, 46, Fig. 4, associated with the driven pinion 21, and two projecting members 52, 53, Fig. 2, carried by each of the two driving gear segments on the mould turning wheel 31, i.e. the short segment 33 and the long segment not shown. The trailing member 53 co-operates with the cam surface 50 to arrest the rotation of the mould wheel and bring it harmonically to rest after the gear segment 31 has moved out of driving engagement with the bevel gear 26, while the leading member 52 co-operates with the cam surface 51 to accelerate the mould wheel before engagement of the gear drive. The members on the long segment similarly co-operate with the cam surfaces 56, 58. |
