The load-securing panel for the bottom of a car or a van, can be made from metal, wood or plastic, and has transverse and lengthwise grooves in rows perpendicular to one another. The grooves are for the insertion of fixing elements or retaininq plates, either flat or with a stepped section. The plates are inserted in the grooves to fit closely aqainst the sides of articles carried in the boot/van so they do not move during transportion. Similar panels can be used for the sides of a load-carrying compartment, when the grooves will be horizontal and vertical.
