Acoustic baffle (1) comprises a sound absorbing material (2) enclosed in a preferably watertight cover (3), which is integral with a flap enclosing a load carrying member (5) in a chamber separated from the sound absorbing material (2). The load carrying member allows an arbitrary placing of suspension means along the length. Suspension hooks (7) pass between the load carrying member (5) and means (4) separating the chamber from the sound absorbing material. The baffle may be used in the food industry.
