PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of transformation of electrical energy into mechanical energy by incorporating a prescribed percentage of Sb2O3 as a subsidiary component into a principal component represented by a specified formula and prepd. with starting materials such as PbO, ZnO, Nb2O5 and MnO2. CONSTITUTION:This piezoelectric porcelain compsn. is composed of a principal component prepd. with starting materials such as PbO, ZnO, Nb3O5, MnO2, TiO2 ZrO2 and CaO and 0.01-5wt.% Sb2O3 as a subsidiary component. The principal component has a compsn. represented by the formula (where w=0-0.6, x=0-0.6, y=0.2-0.69, z=0.12-0.69 and w+x+y+z=1) and one or more among Ca, Ba and Sr may be substd. for 0.01-15mol% of Pb in the principal component. |
