PURPOSE:To regulate thickness without exerting adverse magnetic influence on a developer by producing a thickness regulating member with brass. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical thickness regulating member 33 regulating the thickness of a developer layer is composed of brass. Since the thickness can be regulated without exerting adverse magnetic influence on the developer 36, satisfactory development free from density lack and density irregularity can be accomplished with magnetic toner. In addition, earlier deterioration due to oxidation never occurs, and mechanical strength is high, whcih cracks are hardly generated. Moreover, durability is high, whereby the satisfactory regulation exercises stably for a long period. |
