PURPOSE:To shorten a cycle time in cutting with a lathe and enhance the productivity by performing speed selection of the spindle motor and cam shaft motor and also selection of a stopper for location according to the signal from an encoder fixed on the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 22 to hold the work to be cut 23 is installed on the spindle 21 of the main shafting construction 20. A cutting tool 31 is fixed to a slide table 34, which is composed of an X-slide table 35 and a Y-slide table 36. The output from the cam shaft motor 37 will rotate the cam shaft 44, which is connected to an encoder 49, and the pulsed signal to represent rotational position of the cam shaft is sent to a control device 50. An oil-hydraulic unit 51 as oil pressure source is to supply the working oil to the static pressure fluid bearing in the table part 34 of the main shafting construction 20, and the unit 50 is to control the unit 51 and lathe body 53 with signal from encoder 49. |
