PURPOSE:To perform an efficient heat exchanging operation and improve an outer appearance of an air conditioner by a method wherein an outdoor unit is taken in under a floor of a housing, an air shielding plate partitioning a suction draught circuit for the outer unit and a blowing side draught circuit is provided, under-floor strip footing having a ventilation port is connected with the air shielding plate so as to form a draught chamber. CONSTITUTION:Air sucked from a ventilation port 5 at a suction side under operation of an outdoor unit 1 is guided to a suction side draught circuit 1a of the outdoor unit 1. A heat exchanger placed in the outdoor unit 1 is operated to perform a heat exchanging operation and then the air passes through a fan placed in a blowing side draught circuit 1b and is guided to an draught port 3 at the discharging side. An outside part of the outdoor unit 1 is provided with an air shielding plate 2 for making a partition between a suction side draught circuit 1a and a blowing side draught circuit 1b, a strip footing 4 having a ventilation port 3 of discharging side is connected so as to form a sealed draught chamber, resulting in that the air already heat exchanged is not returned back to the suction side draught circuit 1a, but discharged from the ventilation port 3 of the continuous footing 4 to an outside are of the housing and so an efficient heat exchanging operation can be performed as an air conditioner. |
