PURPOSE:To permit a high accurate positioning control to be performed eliminating backlash by providing an air motor which gives fixed direction torque through a clutch to a backlash correcting gear in a rotary positioning device. CONSTITUTION:A backlash correcting mechanism 8 is constituted of an air motor 9, flexible coupling 10, clutch unit 11, reduction gear 12 and a backlash correcting gear 13. The air motor 9, clutch unit 11 and the reduction gear 12 are connected by each flexible coupling 10. The air motor 9 generates fixed torque, driving a predetermined transmission system. Thus, a high accurate positioning and indexing control can be performed by enabling backlash to be removed. |
