PURPOSE:To display a partial image of arbitrary size on a display area of given size by calculating an area which becomes a display object from an entire image, and performing the magnification and compression processing of image data in the area. CONSTITUTION:The image data targeted to be retrieved is inputted at the time of performing accumulation. Next, after the area of the partial image of an input image desired to display is designated, the image data is stored in an image data accumulation part. At the time of performing retrieval, the area which becomes the display object is calculated from the entire image based on the size of a designated display area. Simultaneously, a degree of shrinkage is calculated from the area of the partial image and the display area. Next, the image data is read out from the accumulation part, and is stored in an image memory part. At the time of performing display, the image data in the area of the display object is read out from the image memory, and the magnification and compression processing is applied corresponding to the degree of shrinkage, then, it is displayed on a display part. |
