PURPOSE:To obtain an image with superior quality at the time of performing diagnosis and to preserve and manage a radiation image with a low running cost by changing the compressibility of the image corresponding to significance of the radiation image. CONSTITUTION:The significance of the radiation image to be preserved and managed is decided, and the compressibility of image data is changed automatically according to the significance. And the significance of the radiation image is classified to two, subjective and objective, significance. And the subjective significance is decided by the global judgement of a medical doctor based on the knowledge or the experience of the doctor, the name of a disease, and a diagnostic result. Also, the objective significance is decided objectively by the logical judgement of a third party other than the doctor including a computer. In such a way, it is possible to obtain the image with superior quality not being affected on diagnosis. Also, a running cost for the preservation of the image can be suppressed at a low level. |
