PURPOSE:To specify the speech range of the user and to prevent illegal use of the user by storing an area code representing the specific area and starting the call only when the area code of the inputted telephone number and the stored area code are coincident. CONSTITUTION:A control section 5 of this telephone set is provided with a storage means 5b storing the area code representing a specific area such as a toll station number and a prescribed area code is stored. When the user operates a key operation section 7 and inputs the telephone number, the control section 5 fetches the inputted telephone number by the operation of the SEND key of the key operation section 7 by the user succeedingly to the input of the telephone number and discriminates whether or not the area lock mode is set. Since the mode is set, the control section 5 reads the registered area code from the storage means 5b and a comparator means 5a compares it with the area code being a local station number of the inputted telephone number and when the both are coincident, the processing for the call of the opposite side is applied to the inputted telephone number. |
