Separating strip for a comminuting appliance

Separating strips of conventional type have a bevel on their side faces, so that these extend at an inclination relative to the front or the rear face; accordingly, teeth ground into this bevelled region have little material. A separating strip, in which the bevelling costs are absent and which has a longer service life, is therefore to be provided. The separating strip (10) according to the invention has side faces (16) which extend at an angle of approximately 90@ relative to the front and the rear face (12 and 14) and into which the teeth (20) are milled or ground with a rectangular impact face (28).
