PURPOSE:To restore a coated surface to the original high quality coated surface without leaving an unpolished part by allowing a compd. having >=2,000kg/mm<2> Vickers hardness Hv to act directly on the coated surface under 2-20g/m<2> uniform surface pressure at the time of finish polishing. CONSTITUTION:In a finish polishing stage, a coated surface 3 formed with acrylic-melamine resin clear lacquer, alkyd-melamine resin solid paint, urethane resin clear lacquer, urethane resin solid paint, etc., is polished by rotating buff 2 while feeding a prescribed compd. 1 blended with a petroleum solvent, pure water and a surfactant. Alumina particles having >=2,000kg/mm<2> Vickers hardness Hv and <=15mum particle size may be used as the compd. 1 and 2-20g/cm<2> uniform surface pressure is applied to the coated surface 3. The surface 3 can be restored to the original high quality coated surface without leaving an unpolished part. |
