摘要 PURPOSE:To give a recording image of good quality to a matter to be recorded of low surface smoothness and besides, to make alteration of the recording image impossible by a method wherein a separation layer and an ink layer which contain respectively coloring matter are respectively established from a base material side on the base material, and melt viscosity of the separation layer is made less than that of the ink layer. CONSTITUTION:The thermal transfer material 1 has at least a separation layer 3 and an ink layer 4 from a base material side on the base material 2. Both the separation layer 3 and the ink layer 4 contain coloring matter, and melt viscosity of the separation layer 3 is less than that of the ink layer 4. Though a surface of recording paper 7 has an uneven structure, its projected part becomes in a state wherein it thrusts through the ink layer 4 softened by thermal application from a heating part 6 and the separation layer 3 having become in a molten state also by assistance of pressure from a thermal head 5. A recording image 8b having permeated the recording paper by a component of the separation layer 3 and a recording image 8a by the ink layer so as to cover the recording image 8b are formed. Though the recording image 8a is removed by correcting action, the recording image 8b can not be removed because of having permeated the recording paper 7.
