To facilitate the removal from the case and insertion into the case of the video films, the case opening has on one of the small narrow sides clearances arranged symmetrically on the edges and on the other small narrow side a central opening. On the inner sides, along the longitudinal direction and parallel to the main edges there are provided ribs, against which the video cassette inserted into the case bears and consequently a retention of the video cassette is achieved and in addition excessive friction of the video cassette walls with the inside walls of the case is prevented (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
