PURPOSE:To produce a polyurethane foam molded item with built-in colored design by a method wherein the colored design is formed by being internally or directly brought into contact with a transparent or translucent thermoplastic plate. CONSTITUTION:A transparent or translucent thermoplastic plate 10 is shaped in the required form. A colored design plate made of thermoplastic material is internally brought into contact with the inside of the shaped plate. Or colored design is represented directly on the inside of the shaped plate. After that, compounding liquid for polyurethane foam is poured on said colored design so as to integrally laminate- mold them into the required form in order to house the colored design CD in the resultant molded item 11. Further, in case that the colored design CD is directly formed on the inside of the plate 10, the molded body is released from molds 8 and 9 due to the design so as to form a colored design CD and, after that, the colored design is reset to the molds for the following process. Further, when the air tends to add between the plate and the foam, temporary vent holes are made by needling on the colored design plate. Then the resultant plate is integrally bonded under heat and pressure to the inner surface of the mold. In the same mold, on the resultant inner surface, polyurethane foam is laminate-molded integrally. |
