PURPOSE: To easily, inexpensively and automatically splice the edges forming two inclined faces by arranging an approaching means capable of relatively displacing a pack and the support surface. CONSTITUTION: The respective toothed edges 67 of blades 62 contact with the upper surface of a strip 2 on the surfaces 4, 5, and the blades 62 slide in the shaft direction to mutual ones to trace an accurate traverse profile of strips 2, 3 on a line 6. A jack 34 is actuated at this point, a roller 51 is contacted with the upper surface of a pack 61, and prescribed pressure controlled by both the jack 34 and a damper 45 is exerted on the surface, a screw 15 is actuated, and a carriage 25 is longitudinally moved along a blade 29. During such displacement, the roller 51 exposes the respective blades 62 to shaft directional pressure to press the surfaces 4, 5 together. |
