PURPOSE:To increase the processing speed of the whole layout scanner system by controlling laser beams of a plate making scanner, one by one, when outputting image and graphic data which are edited and generated by a computer to the plate making scanner. CONSTITUTION:A buffer memory 9 which outputs data to the plate making scanner separates data CC which contains contour data from the computer 8 into image data and the contour data and outputs the image data BB to a dot generator 7 in synchronism with timing pulses DD from the dot generator 7. Then the contour data is decoded and outputted as beam control data EE by the laser beams synchronized with the image data BB. Consequently, the image data and contour data can be processed as one file and the processing speed of the layout scanner system is increased. |
