PURPOSE: To make it possible to selectively vent the gases liberated by a contact lens soln. by arranging a valve means in the passage in a vessel and closing the passage or opening the passage so as to release the gases from the vessel. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen peroxide soln. and a catalyst member 22 are arranged in the vessel 12 and a cap 14 is mounted thereon. Next, the contact lens in a supporting member 20 is immersed into the soln. When the oxygen of some extent infiltrates the inside of a cavity part 24, the pressure therein rises to a prescribed level and a plug 30 is deformed to attain an open position. As a result, oxygen is passed through an opening 26 into the cavity parts 24, 28 and is discharged into the outdoor air through an opening 36. When the pressure on the bottom of the plug 30 falls down to a prescribed level or below, the discharge of the gases from the vessel 12 is prevented. |
