<p>PURPOSE:To detect the displacement in a width direction of a body to be detected and the inclination of the body to be detected by performing the comparative arithmetic operation of the detecting output of a sensor arranged at the edge on one side of the body to be detected and the sensor arranged at the edge on the other side. CONSTITUTION:The sensors A and B being arranged at the upper edge part of a tape 1 are constituted of light emitting parts 5a and 5b, and light receiving parts 6a and 6b arranged oppositely interposing the upper edge part of the tape, respectively. The quantity of light arriving at each of the light receiving parts 6a and 6b changes corresponding to the displacement of the tape 1, and it is possible to detect the displacement of two locations at the edge on one side of the tape 1 from the output of the sensors A and B. Also, similarly, it is possible to detect the displacement of two locations at the edge on the other side of the tape 1 from the output of the sensors C and D arranged at the edge below tape 1. Then, the detecting output of the sensors A, B, C, and D are compared with each other. In such a way, the displacement in the width direction and the inclination of the tape 1 can be detected.</p> |
