<p>PURPOSE:To correct a picture data of a frame memory efficiently by splitting one frame into plural areas and switching only the coding of the area by the error detection at an area into the in-frame coding. CONSTITUTION:A picture input signal is processed while being split into plural areas, a coding means 1 applies in-frame coding to only an area having an error at the reception side in a picture input signal to be sent when a transmission control means 2 receives an error detection notice from an outgoing transmission line and a picture input signal at the normal area is subject to in-frame coding to send a difference signal to the reception side. Thus, if an error is detected at the reception side, the part switched into the in-frame coding processing relates to only the area detected with an error, the error at the reception side is corrected without increasing much information quantity.</p> |
