Two-limbed plug-in core for a transformer

A two-limbed plug-in core exists in which two yokes 4 in each case form one yoke end surface 11 externally. In this case, it is desired for the two-limbed plug-in core in the transformer to have considerably improved electrical no-load values. This is achieved by a sheet-metal strip 12 which covers one of the yoke end surfaces 11 consisting of silicon-alloy electrical sheet metal and being free of any function relating to holding the core parts 1, 2 together. Improvements of approximately 15% or more can be achieved in the no-load current and in the no-load power. <IMAGE>
