PURPOSE:To process three-dimensional data in a two-dimensional way, to simplify a processing, sufficiently satisfying a response required for an interactive processing, and to drastically reduce memory capacity by executing a hidden-line processing with the use of the geometric characteristic of a solid shape. CONSTITUTION:A basic model memory file 10, which stores the three-dimensional data of the plural solid basic models in different types, a deciding part 12, which decides the solid shape designated from the basic model memory file 10 and generates the three-dimensional data of a projected body watched from a designated signal line direction, and a hidden-line processing part 16, which is hidden-line-processed and displayed on a display part 14 by using the geometric characteristic of the projected body generated in the deciding part 12 and processing the three-dimensional data in the two-dimensional way, constitute the title method. From this, in the case of a single surface solid body having only a single surface, for example, a tourus, based on the geometric characteristic of a ridge obtained when the projected body is generated, intersections (alpha to zeta) of the ridges are operated. By successively sorting the ridges passing through the operated intersections, whether or not the ridge can be watched is decided, and based on a decision result, only the ridges shown on the picture are displayed. |
