PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of a printing plate and the suitability to development with a deteriorated developing soln. and printing with UV ink by incorporating a specified polymer into the printing plate and processing the plate with a prescribed developing soln. CONSTITUTION:The title printing plate is composed of a grianed Al plate and a photosensitive layer contg. a quinonediazido compd. and a specified polymer A. The printing plate is imagewise exposed and processed with a developing soln. contg. an alkali metal silicate such as potassium silicate and a surfactant. One or more kinds of polymers produced by addition polymn., polycondensation and polyaddition are used as the polymer A. Each of the polymers has one or more kinds of groups selected among phenolic hydroxyl, carboxyl, phosphoric acid and sulfonic acid in the molecule. The polymer A may be a copolymer of hydroxyphenyl (meth)acrylate with other desired monomer. |
