A transport vehicle or transport vehicle combination, e.g. a trailer with towing vehicle for transshipment and transport of heavy, space-consuming loads such as containers, comprises a device for transshipment between two vehicles or between one vehicle and an intermediate storage device with vehicle-like dimensions preferably by horizontal rolling or sliding motion perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and preferably for rolling loading and unloading of these loads over the vehicle rear end when the vehicle chassis (1) is tilted, vehicle axles which slide under the vehicle chassis, and preferable but not exclusive use of pusher chains (17, 30, 50) as force transmission means. Other special characteristics are optimal axial load distribution and control of other functions by measurement transducers, display (15) and evaluation devices and pulse generators, and use of the pneumatic springs for lifting and equalizing levels. |
