A sealing arrangement for a movable spindle shaft 3 which is displaceable between end positions consists of a packing box 2 which at the ends has guides 7; 2d for the spindle shaft 3. At least that part of the spindle shaft interacting with the sealing member suitably consists of stainless steel.
