In a method for producing an electric sensor, a sensory pellet is applied to a pair of contact conductors which are connected by connecting conductors. In order to carry out the method economically with little waste, a ribbon (flat) cable (1) is used to form the connecting conductors (2). The pellet (12) is applied to a metal strip (8) with longitudinal slots (9) whose longitudinal rims (11) form the contact conductors. Thereafter, the longitudinal edges (11) and the pair (2) of connecting conductors are brought together and connected electrically and separated together with the ribbon cable (1). <IMAGE>
