At the sides of the bridge frame 1 of the railway slewing crane and constructed as hydraulic cylinders there are power units 4 which are provided for bracing the bridge frame 1 including the crane superstructure. The power units 4 are, at the bridge frame end, mounted via a flattened dome 12 and are supported on the bogie 2 at their lower end by the piston rod 5 bearing on the part-spherical slide member 6. The piston rod 5 is guided in the bridge frame by a bush 11. Underneath, in the region of the slide plate 10, the slide member 6 is provided with a cylindrical projection. The arrangement according to the invention permits of stable use of the crane even on cambered and inclined sections of the track. <IMAGE>
