The seat is mounted for longitudinal sliding movement on guides which are generally inclined with their front ends higher than their rear ends. The backrest (5) of the seat (1) can slide longitudinally on these guides on which the squab (2) is mounted by means of a system of pivoting arms (7, 8) which impart a combined translational and upward/downward movement to the squab (2) itself. This movement causes the squab (2) to be lowered during forward movement and raised during backward movement.
|
