Multichannel television receiver

A multichannel television receiver has the facility for displaying a group of channels (CHK, CHO, CHL, CHP) from the received plurality of channels in picture-in-picture mode. The groups of channels are selectable by paging up or down the channels stored in a skip memory. If a channel contains no signal then the next channel in the skip memory is substituted.
