PURPOSE:To conduct optimum setting on each blade side of the bottom plate of an ink fountain and optimum setting on the ink initial roller side simultaneously, and to improve the quality of printing by independently setting conversion functions at every divided bottom plate and installing a conversion section successively updating each conversion function on the basis of the actual data of past optimum ink-fountain opening. CONSTITUTION:When a picture area factor measured data measured from the printing plate of a pattern to be printed is input to an ink-quantity setter, it is converted into ink-fountain opening. Since conversion functions are set independently at every divided bottom plate 4 of an ink fountain 3, converted opening data are transmitted in response to each of respective divided bottom plate 4. Each opening data is transmitted over an ink arrangement, and respective divided bottom plate is adjusted in conformity with the openings. The conversion functions are updated successively at the proper timming by fed-back actual data, and conversion to opening data is performed by the updated conversion functions. Accordingly, a conversion section prepares opening data optimum for the states (changes with time) of each divided bottom plate by self learning action, and can transmit the data over the ink arrangement. |
