PURPOSE:To obtain nonfried and frozen food capable of providing a fried food in a crispy state by using specific powdery fats and oils. CONSTITUTION:Powdery fats and oils containing 95-100% soybean oil, palm oil, corn oil, sesame oil, lard, beef tallow, fish oil, hardened oils thereof alone or a mixture thereof having <=50 deg.C melting point are used as edible fats and oils to obtain a frozen food, such as fry, croquette or fried food without coating, edible without heating in an oil. The above-mentioned powdery fats and oils are mixed with wheat flour or bread crumb and applied to ingredients. Alternatively, the ingredients coated with bread crumb are then smeared with the powdery fats and oils, etc., to produce the frozen food. The resultant frozen food can be heated in a microwave oven or oven etc., to provide a food fried in a crispy state. |
