Production of synthetic thermoplastics kegs comprises inflation of parisons in a closed blowing die having two abutting halves, and each keg (1) has a jacket (2), endpieces (3), and roller tyres (4) formed at the junctions between the jacket and the endpieces. At the rim of one endpiece (3) there are two bungholes (5,6) only, in the vicinity of the butt joint in the blowing die, one of these bungholes (6) being adapted as a complete-emptying bunghole by forming a cylindrical protuberance (7) during blowing at the junction between the jacket and one endpiece, removing cap of the protuberance after opening the die and allowing the keg to cool adequately, whereby a bunghole neck (8) is left in place, and welding to the bunghole neck a pre-formed bunghole nipple (9) having a collar (10). <IMAGE> |
