PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic and a hair tonic having an excellent alopecia-preventing effect and trichogenous and hair-raising accelerating effects, containing the ester of an unsaturated fatty acid with a sterol. CONSTITUTION:The subject substance in a form of a hair tonic, hair cream, shampoo, rinse, tincture, aerosol, ointment, etc., contains an ester of the formula (R1 is unsaturated fatty acid residue; R2 is sterol residue) in an amount of 0.1-15wt.%. The unsaturated fatty acid is preferably one having 1-3 unsaturated double bonds in the molecule and 16-18 carbon atoms, such as palmitoleic acid, petroselinic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid or linolenic acid, and the sterol includes beta-sitosterol, campesterol, cycloartenol, lanolin alcohol, etc. A known hair tonic may be added to the subject substance. |
