<p>PURPOSE:To enable the precise detection of the abnormal state of a driver by accumulatively calculating the fatigue of a driver based on the average and dispersion of pulse frequency of the driver and judging the abnormal state of the driver. CONSTITUTION:A pulse sensor 2 detects the pulse frequency of a driver. The pulse is converted to a pulse wave and outputted to a calculating means 6. The calculating means 6 calculates the average and dispersion of the pulse frequency and outputs it to a fatigue calculating means 11. The fatigue calculating means selects, for example, a determined weighting coefficient according to the magnitude of the numerical value of the average and dispersion, and calculates a new accumulated fatigue degree using said weighting coefficient and the accumulated fatigue degree until then. It further judges whether this accumulated fatigue degree exceeds a standard value or not. When exceeding the standard value, it judges the driver to be in the abnormal state, and operates an alarm 12 to notify of this.</p> |
