<p>PURPOSE: To simultaneously convert the rotating motion of a motor to swinging motion and longitudinal motion through a transmission mechanism simplified as much as possible by sliding a brush rod in axial direction and turning a socket lateral to the brush rod. CONSTITUTION: A front section 3 of a toothbrush is engaged with a ball head 18 inside a ball cap 19 of a handle 2. Because of such structure, the front section 3 of the toothbrush can be turned around the lengthwise axial line of the toothbrush. Further, the front section 3 of the toothbrush can be inclined lateral to the plane of a drawing. Because of this inclining motion, the center line of an axis 10 crosses the center line of a motor shaft 12 and such an intersection positioned at 21 of the drawing simultaneously becomes the centers of the ball head 18 and the ball cap 19. Thus, not only the front section 3 of the toothbrush can be inclined but also this front section 3 can be turned around the lengthwise axial line of the toothbrush by a brush rod 4 as shown with an arrow.</p> |
