PURPOSE:To obtain a walking assisting means which can be effectively applied with brake even if the title device is directed in any direction and can be easily handled by a person who has a defective leg by making all the castors from free castors and permitting all the castors to be applied with brake at a same time in simple ways only by one hand. CONSTITUTION:In a walking assisting device 1, free castors 5 (5a, 5b) having a brake mechanism 4 are installed at the front and rear parts on the right and left sides of a lower part frame 3 having a user standing space 2 formed on the rear side, and a front driving shaft 6 which is common for the right and left sides is fixed in turnable ways in the front part, and each rear part driving shaft 7 which is independent for the right and left sides is fixed in turnable ways in the rear part, and each driving piece 8 for driving the brake mechanism 4 for the free castor 5 is projectingly installed onto the driving shafts 6 and 7, and each interlocking arm 9 is projectingly installed onto the right and left sides of the front driving shaft 6 and the rear part driving shaft 7, and an interlocking link 10 is connected between the front and rear interlocking arms 9, and further, the operating part 12 of a turning operation means 11 for turning the front driving shaft 6 is installed at a proper position of the walking assisting device 1 body over the lower frame 3. |
