<p>PURPOSE:To exactly measure a DC electric field by reducing distortion of the DC electric field in a field to be measured by an optical element, by providing a dielectric for bringing the volume resistivity of combination with the optical element, close to the volume resistivity of a medium, in the field to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A composite optical element 12 is provided in a DC electric field of a field to be measured 9, uses a Pockels element as an optical element 10 in its center part, and has a structure which is pinched by dielectrics 11, 11 whose volume resistivity is different from that of the optical element 10, from both sides in the direction placed at right angles to the electric field. In this way, it is possible to reduce distortion of the DC electric field in the field to be measured, by the optical element 10.</p> |
