<p>A range of paper filter elements containing predefined quantities of rayon fibres is disclosed, which elements can be used in air filters and oil filters for internal combustion engines. Said paper filter elements comprise mixtures of cellulose fibres and viscose rayon fibres which contain at least 15% by weight of viscose rayon fibres having an average diameter in the range of 10 to 12 micrometres and an average length of 6 millimetres, said cellulose fibres having an average thickness of 20 to 30 micrometres, and said paper filter elements having a air permeability, as defined in the specification, of at least 9 millimetres water gauge and a thickness of 800 to 1000 micrometres.</p> |
