PURPOSE: To obtain a woven fabric supporting body suitable for use as a hydraulic orthopedic splint bandage by building the elastic fibers of the woven fabric supporting body consisting of nonelastic fibers having a low modulus of elasticity and the elastic fibers into the supporting body in its longitudinal direction and further, coating these fibers with a resin. CONSTITUTION: The supporting body consists of the nonelastic fibers having the low modulus of the elasticity and the elastic fibers and the elastic fibers are incorporated longitudinally into the supporting body in the amt. constituting 1 to 8% (volume) of the supporting body. The resin coated supporting body consists of the knitted supporting body coated with the hydraulic resin having elongation of 15 to 80% in the longitudinal direction, by which the adaptable and hydraulic orthopaedic splint bandage is obtd. Particularly according to a more preferable embodiment, the supporting body consists of the nonelastic polypropylene fibers having the modulus of elasticity smaller than 2∼10<4> psi and the elastic polyurethane fibers. These elastic fibers are introduced longitudinally in the amt. constituting 1 to 8% (volume) of the supporting body. The resin coated supporting body consists of the knitted supporting body coated with the hydraulic resin having the longitudinal elongation of 20 to 30%.
