PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of oil mist from occurring to a denitration catalyst by providing a heating means for burning oil mist in front of the denitration catalyst bed of the exhaust gas flue of a diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:The combustion exhaust gas 20 generated from a diesel engine 1 flows through a flue 5 and is heated by an electric heater to burn oil mist. The exhaust gas, from which the oil mist is removed, is uniformly mixed with NH3 11 injected from an NH3 injection device 14 to be sent to a denitration device 3 and NOX is reduced and removed in the presence of a denitration catalyst 15 while the treated gas is discharged from a chimney 9 through a waste heat recovery boiler 2. When the temp. of the exhaust gas reaches about 300 deg.C, the operation of an electric heater 6 is stopped. |
