PURPOSE:To allow the easy formation of an under coating layer and photosensitive layer and to obtain the electrophotographic sensitive body having excellent performance by incorporating aluminum into the under coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The alumina is incorporated into the under coating layer on a conductive substrate. An alumina sol is coated on the under coating layer on the conductive substrate and is dried to form the under coating layer and the soln. or dispersion of the photosensitive layer constituting material is coated on the under coating layer and is dried to form the photosensitive layer. There are, therefore, no problems even if any org. solvent is used at the time of forming the photosensitive layer and the need for application of high heat and use of a large-scale device is eliminated even at the time of forming the under coating layer. In addition, the electrophotographic sensitive body having the excellent characteristics such as electrostatic chargeability is obtd. by providing the under coating layer contg. the alumina to said body. |
