PURPOSE:To obtain a readily producible cleaning composition, containing a specific saturated higher alcohol and specified higher fatty acid salt as principal ingredients and having excellent pearly lustrousness, temperature stability, detergency and mild reaction to the skin. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning composition, containing (A) a higher alcohol, containing a saturated hydrocarbon consisting essentially of 22C behenyl alcohol with >=80wt.%, preferably >=85wt.% purity thereof and (B) one or more higher fatty acid salts selected from alkaline metal, ammonium or alkanolamine salts of 0-22C saturated fatty acids and/or unsaturated fatty acids as principal ingredients, mass-producible in a short time at a low cost and capable of expressing improved pearly luster, excellent in hydrolytic stability with heat and alkalis with good feeling of use. |
