PURPOSE: To provide a dispensing system for postmix juice with a concentrate of specific density at freezer temperatures by equipping a pressurizable canister capable of holding and dispensing the required quantity of a juice concentrate, a means for pressurizing the canister, a means for heating the concentrate and a metering device for controlling the ratio of water to the concentrate fed to a mixing chamber. CONSTITUTION: A complete mixing of a concentrate with water is effected by a postmix juice dispensing system 10 in such a way that the water and juice concentrate, at a mix ratio of 5:1, for example, are fed to a mixing chamber 16. Water is fed via a conduit 18 to a metering device 20 and then to the mixing chamber 16. The concentrate is included in a concentrate bag 30 at freezer temperatures of from about -102 deg.F. to 0 deg.F. The concentrate bag 30 is removed from a freezer and disposed on a rigid and pressurizable canister 32 which is then pressurized by a pressure source and a pressure regulator 36. The pressure forces the pliable concentrate into a heat exchanger 40 via a concentrate conduit 38 and then, into the metering device 20 and the mixing chamber 16. |
