PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display element which has good productivity, can make stable orientation and has a large tilt angle by subjecting a liquid crystal oriented film consisting of a polyamide polymer having a fluorine atom to a heating treatment at the temp. above the liquid transition temp. of a liquid crystal in the state of bringing the liquid crystal into contact with said film. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal oriented film consisting of the polyamide polymer having the fluorine atom is subjected to the heating treatment at the temp. above the liquid transition temp. of the liquid crystal. The liquid crystal oriented film consisting of the polyamide polymer having the fluorine atom can be formed of the polyamide polymer obtd. by using at least one component of dicarboxylic acid or the deriv. thereof and diamine as the component having the fluorine atom and bringing the carboxylic acid and the diamine into reaction. The liquid crystal display element which has the good productivity and the excellent contrast and visual characteristics is obtd. in this way without lowering the yield. |
