PURPOSE: To display characters, digits, and segments which can easily be read comfortable to eyes by arraying brightest cells and the brightest cells behind substantially in parallel to one of a horizontal axis and a vertical axis, and arraying bright cells and dark cells to an oblique direction. CONSTITUTION: A display device 10 includes plural pixels in which lines are arrayed in a horizontal direction, and rows are arrayed in a vertical direction, and each pixel 11 includes four cells R, G, B, and W, and the cell in while W is the brightest, the cell in green G is the brightest behind, the cell in red R is intermediately bright, and the cell in blue B is dark. The cells in R and B are arrayed with alternatively repeated patterns so that the first line of display can be formed, and the cells in G and W are arrayed in alternatively repeated patterns so that the second line of display can be formed. Then, the bright cells G and the dark cells B are arrayed in a diagonal direction, and the brightest cells W and the intermediately bright cells R are arrayed to the diagonal direction. Thus, all the lines in the oblique lines present similar appearance, and all the horizontal and vertical lines present straight lines. Thus, display can be comfortable to eyes, and easily read. |
