PURPOSE:To smoothly connect all the shift links in a shift device by providing a detent mechanism which elastically stops the first swivel member in a transom unit side on a fixed position. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a shift device of a ship propeller converting a linear reciprocating motion of a member by a remote control or the like of a transom unit 20 into a turning motion of a shift cam shaft 46 of a driving unit 22 through an intermediate swivel link mechanism 44 and performing switching of a forward-reverse switching mechanism 32 by turning the shift cam shaft, the intermediate swivel link mechanism 44 comprises the first swivel member 64 placed in a side of the transom unit 20 and swiveled by an operating member and the second swivel member 66 placed in a side of the driving unit 22, fixed to the shift cam shaft 46 and swiveled by the first swivel member engaging with the first swivel member 64, further a detent mechanism 67, elastically stopping the first swivel member 64 in its swivel to a fixed position, is provided. |
