PURPOSE: To increase an installation workability by pressing the side walls of a channel part inward so as to form these side walls so that a flange can be held by these side walls in a flange installed on an open edge to which a channel-shaped strip is installed. CONSTITUTION: A seal strip comprises a generally channel-shaped holding part 5 and a tubular sheet part 6. The holding part 5 is formed with an extruded plastic and rubber material 8 in which a metallic core 10 is buried. Also lips 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 are formed integrally with the inside of the channel part of the holding part 5. In this case, the lips 12 and 14 on one side are formed larger than the lips 16, 18, and 20 on the other side, and the lip 20 is formed by inclining it to the side (channel opening side) opposite to the other lips 16 and 18. Then the holding part 5 is pressed inward deformably so as to hold a flange 22 installed on the door opening edge for installation of a sheet strip. |
