PURPOSE:To obtain the title device excellent in positional accuracy and environmental resistance, high in quality and reliability by forming a color filter on one surface of a plastic plate whose other surface is subjected to diffusion processing, using it as the lower plate of a liquid crystal display element, fixing the liquid crystal display element where the lower plate and the upper plate of the liquid crystal display element are joined and formed integrally, to a reflection plate and uniting the plate and the liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:With the lower plate 3b, a diffusion process layer 11 is formed on one surface on a fluorescent light 8 side by diffusion processing and a color filter layer 12 is formed on the other surface on a liquid crystal 3d side by coloring processing. The lower plate 3b is a color filter board made of a plastic plate. A seal material 3c and the liquid crystal 3d are sandwiched between the lower plate 3b and the upper plate 3a that are formed integrally. The lower plate 3b is fixed on the reflection plate 7. Light projected from the fluorescent light 8 and light reflected by the reflection plate 7 are diffused in the diffusion process layer 11 of the lower plate 3b of the liquid crystal display element 3, and pass through the color filter layer 12. On the other hand, the liquid crystal 3d is driven by the signal of a print substrate 9 and displayed colorfully by mixing and adding colors. Thus, the color liquid crystal display device high in quality and reliability can be obtained. |
