SEARCHING CONTROL ENABLING USER ONE ENTRY AMONG A PLURALITY OF ENTRIES BY USING KEYBOARD AND DISPLAY

PURPOSE: To make it possible to quickly and accurately search an entry even when an entry list is extremely long by providing the search control with a search controlling processor for displaying an edition frame and a list frame on a display. CONSTITUTION: Application programs 12 to 14 access a main help module 16. A search controlling processor 15 is built in the module 16 and a selection frame 30 is displayed by using a system inherent part 17. A list frame 34 is included in the frame 30 and entries 33 to be selected are displayed. Each of the entries 33 to be selected indicates a topic and the information of each topic is applied by a help program. Thereby a user can obtain the information of an icon e.g. to be an entry selected from the displayed entries 33.
